About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and detail-driven Director of Compounding Strategy to lead our sterile and non-sterile compounding initiatives in a high-volume, multistate mail order pharmacy. This role is pivotal in shaping our compounded product portfolio, ensuring regulatory excellence, and driving pricing strategies that align with client needs and market trends.
What You’ll Do:
Product Strategy & Development
Build and manage a comprehensive catalog of compounded medications.Collaborate with business development teams to assess custom compounding requests.Source formulations and materials to meet clinical and regulatory standards.Pricing & Cost Optimization
Design competitive pricing models that balance quality, cost, and profitability.Analyze ingredient sourcing and production workflows to drive efficiency.Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure full compliance with USP , , and , plus all state/federal regulations.Lead audits, gap assessments, and quality testing for compounded products.Stay ahead of evolving compounding standards and update practices accordingly.Policy & SOP Development
Author and maintain SOPs to support inspection readiness and operational excellence.Develop training materials to ensure team alignment with updated protocols.Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of compounding strategists and compliance staff.Partner cross-functionally with pharmacy operations, QA, procurement, and legal teams.Serve as the internal SME on compounding best practices and compliance.What You Bring:
PharmD or equivalent degree (advanced compounding certifications a plus).7+ years in sterile and non-sterile compounding; mail order experience preferred.Deep knowledge of USP , , and with hands-on implementation experience.Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
