Job Title: Director of Operations

Job Description

Responsible for leading operational excellence for North America manufacturing locations. This position will drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure world-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Supply Chain management, and Capacity utilization with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership to operations organizations, ensuring jobs are manufactured safely, maintaining the highest quality standards, and ensuring on-time delivery while driving continuous cost improvements.Lead manufacturing operations toward significant productivity gains, capacity utilization, delivery performance, and resource utilization.Drive a Continuous Improvement culture within operations and support the company culture change.Drive daily management processes to improve performance and implement strategic and operational initiatives designed to meet the short and long-term growth plans for the organization.Provide leadership to the organization’s management team while fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, professional development, and ethical behavior.Attract, train, and develop a world-class team focused on meeting customer objectives.Drive a culture committed to customers, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

10+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Proven leadership in operations, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvement.Demonstrated success in driving productivity gains, capacity utilization, and resource optimization.Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a CI culture.Strong experience in KPI management and daily operational performance tracking.Ability to develop and implement strategic and operational initiatives.Experience building and leading high-performance teams.Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction through operational excellence.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (required).Advanced degree preferred.Technical or Engineering degree is preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to influence and lead change across an organization.Experience fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and ethical behavior.Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Experience with Salesforce.com (preferred).Ability to problem-solve independently and work with a high level of self-motivation.Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Work Environment

The hours for this position are typically 8-5pm, Monday to Friday, fully onsite. The role includes overseeing operations at multiple sites, with a focus on the Allentown, Pennsylvania facility. The position has 7 direct reports and oversees around 225 employees indirectly across sites in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Minnesota, California, Florida, North Carolina, and the Netherlands. The ideal candidate must have strong operational leadership experience and expertise in lean/continuous improvement methodologies, preferably in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $225000.00/yr.
