Description Position Summary A growing property management organization is seeking a Director of Operations to lead its Property Operations team. This role is responsible for overseeing departmental functions, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams. This position involves collaboration across departments and oversight of key operational areas including revenue management, tenant relations, internal communications, legal compliance, utilities, systems, project management, and quality control. Key Responsibilities + Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to enhance operational performance. + Develop actionable reporting for both operational teams and executive leadership. + Build and maintain systems using platforms such as Monday.com and Zendesk. + Supervise teams across revenue management, communications, quality control, utilities, move-outs, and special projects. + Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. + Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. + Lead special projects and strategic initiatives. + Provide coaching, feedback, and training to maintain a high-performing team. + Guide internal teams in hiring and developing remote staff. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field. + 7–8 years of experience in property management, preferably in multifamily or residential real estate. + Experience in accounting, finance, lease administration, and landlord/tenant relations. + Proven ability to manage a team of five or more direct reports. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Key Competencies + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams. + Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. + Experience with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Zendesk). + Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. + Strategic mindset with a focus on operational optimization. + Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
