Director of Operations Requisition ID: 45202 Job Location(s): Kamnik, SI Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Danfoss Climate Solutions Segment Job Function: Supply Chain and Operations Work Location Type: On-site **The Impact You'll Make** The **Director of Operations** will lead the end-to-end operations of our Braze Plate Heat Exchanger (BPHE) manufacturing facility in Kamnik, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and overall operational excellence. This role is pivotal in aligning local execution with global strategies, driving lean manufacturing, and fostering a high-performance culture In addition to operational leadership, the Director will act as a key ambassador for the Kamnik site—representing the factory to internal stakeholders and to external partners and customers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong engineering background, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization. This role is also critical in developing team capabilities, nurturing a strong team culture aligned with Danfoss values, and embedding a mindset of performance and continuous improvement throughout the organization. **What You’ll Be Doing** + **Team Culture & Leadership:** Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Promote Danfoss values and ensure a collaborative and motivated workforce. Represent the Kamnik site to external stakeholders, customers, and partners. + **Operational Execution:** Lead daily factory operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. Align local operations with global manufacturing strategies and KPIs. Drive lean manufacturing, automation, and digitalization initiatives (e.g., SAP, no-touch processes). + **Production & Delivery:** Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to customer and quality standards. Optimize production processes to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance flexibility. Ensure standardized technologies across factories. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, cost efficiency, OEE and customer satisfaction. + **Quality & Compliance:** Lead a zero-defect culture and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Oversee quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. + **People & Capability Development:** Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and structured training. Identify and close skill gaps to support future growth and innovation. + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with engineering, procurement, global logistics, and finance to ensure seamless operations.
