The Director supports nursing as a vital component of the healthcare team—promoting evidence-based practices, shared governance, and a culture of safety and accountability through Just Culture principles. This role collaborates with nurse managers, physicians, and administrative leaders to lead strategic planning, quality improvement, budget development, staffing, and program growth. By guiding care that is safe, timely, and equitable, the Director helps ensure exceptional patient experiences and sustainable operational success across the Medical Surgical Services area.

Interpret financial statements and manage financial resources.
Participate in workforce planning and provide creative solutions to manage workforce while monitoring financial impacts.
Position QualificationsMinimum RequiredMasters in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing and Masters in Business or HealthCare related field.
New York State Registered Nurse License or eligible
Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
Two (2) years of nursing management experience
PreferredProfessional certification in Nursing Executive (NE-BC) or Nursing Executive Advanced (NEA-BC). Required within 2 years of accepting position.
