We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full time Long Term Care Nurse Director of Nursing position in the Houston area.
Job Description:
The hospice LTC Director of Nurses is a registered professional nurse who ensures quality of patient care. The primary function is for the overall administration of the clinical departments and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity. Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency. The LTC DON also guides their immediate healthcare team in adhering to healthcare standards by monitoring the professionalism and quality of care given by the healthcare team.
Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas Must have a MSN or BSN, and 3 - 5 years of clinical leadership experience Must have 3 - 5 years of experience in Long-Term Care, and disease processes leading to death, control of pain and other symptoms Experience working in Long Term Care settings (NF, ALF, Memory Care, Personal Care Homes) - preferred Experience with Hospice, Home Health, Palliative Care, and/or Geriatrics - preferred Effective written and verbal communication Ability to travel - must have reliable transportation Clean background, drug screen, and driving record
