At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are at the center of our coordinated care system, and we currently have an opening for a Director of Perioperative Services to join our team.
The Director of Perioperative Services is responsible and accountable for the operation of clinical practice, patient care delivery, human and financial resources, compliance with regulatory standards, continuous quality improvement, and fostering interdepartmental and intradepartmental collaborative relationships across patient care areas to support best-practice-based clinical delivery systems that impact all perioperative services. Maintains clinical skills to provide direct patient care as needed in the department.
KeyResponsibilities
* Works in collaboration with Anesthesia and Surgical Leadership to optimize the quality of care provided to patients.
* Provides leadership accountability and oversight for nursing practice and strategies supporting nurses in the delivery of exceptional patient care in perioperative services.
* Collaborated with administrative and medical leadership in the implementation of programs and services.
* Collaborated with administrative and medical leadership to ensure the provision ofsafe, effective, high-quality, and cost-effective patientcare.
* Participates in the review of patient satisfaction data and comments and shares with team members. Implements activities to improve the patient and family experience in the perioperative setting. Addresses any complaints or concerns. Reviews team member satisfaction and engagement data annually and implements activities to improve engagement. Evaluates turnover risks and implements strategies to reduce turnover.
* Leads with the framework of shared governance/distributed decision-making, empowering nurses to make decisions regarding nursing practice issues as related to perioperativeservices.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degreerequired
* Registered Nurse
* Masters Degreepreferred
* 2 years of management/supervisor experience
* 3-5 years relevant professionalexperience
* Fiscal managementexperience
