UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN
University of Wisconsin selected Legends Global Sales to oversee and manage various areas within Wisconsin Athletics, Development and Marketing department. Legends focus with the goal of driving revenue around premium seating offerings, athletic ticketing (football, men’s basketball, men’s hockey, volleyball, women’s hockey, and women’s basketball), annual athletic donations, and grow the overall connectivity and engagement with all Badger fans.
THE ROLE
The Director of Marketing will lead strategic planning and execution across ticketed sports with a focus on optimizing the fan experience at every touchpoint. Responsibilities span digital and traditional marketing, fan communications, creative oversight, partner integration, and high-level project management.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Strategy Lead campaign planning and timeline management across athletics, brand communications, and marketing. Initiate and execute digital marketing efforts for large-scale campaigns. Serve as cross-functional connector with Legends GM, Director of Ticketing, and internal stakeholders. Paid / Traditional Media Strategy and execution of paid media across all channels. Oversee trade agreements, partner negotiations, and asset delivery (e.g., tickets, suites, food orders). Work directly with media partners for added-value opportunities and execution support. Organic Social Maintain UW Badgers calendar and post all content. Manage holiday creative across all sports. Owns strategy including competitive analysis, data reporting, and platform updates. Oversees social listening and tool evaluation (e.g., Sprout, Brandwatch). Creative Oversight Assign creative creation and designate work load by bandwidth for all above itemsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
