As the Director of Marketing & Public Relations, you will lead our organization's efforts to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and enhance our reputation through strategic marketing initiatives and effective communication strategies. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication plans that align with our business objectives and resonate with our target audience.
What will I be doing?
As a Director of Marketing & Public Relations, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.Oversee brand management, including positioning, messaging, and visual identity.Direct digital marketing efforts, including website optimization, social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and online advertising.Manage media relations, including proactive outreach, press releases, and media monitoring.Develop internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement and alignment.Establish KPIs, track performance metrics, and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.Build and mentor a high-performing marketing and communications team.Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to align marketing strategies with business objectives.Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure efficient spending for optimal ROI.Liaises with the regional marketing team regarding joint marketing or promotional and PR opportunities;Serve as a brand ambassador and advocate internally and externally.
Media Relations:
Developing news in partnership with Brands resonating with Waldorf Astoria.Generating local, regional, and international media coverage through proactive strategies, including press releases, media pitches, alerts, interviews, and video news releases (if budget allows).Pitching content to print and broadcast media in key markets.Facilitating positive coverage of the hotel and its amenities by hosting journalists from pre-qualified media outlets in individual and group press trips.Developing and executing media events and promotions.Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on media coverage.Acting as a spokesperson and delivering key messaging.Providing ad hoc media training to key staff.Coordinating and executing brand identity strategies in alignment with Hilton Corporate PR.Fostering beneficial relationships with key tourism PR counterparts, RAKTDA and Dubai Tourism Board.Developing the annual PR plan and budget.
Administration and Financial:
Develop and manage marketing budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports.Oversee administrative tasks related to marketing campaigns, meetings, and events.What are we looking for?
