Director of Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Director of Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the overall business. They lead and manage a marketing team, oversee marketing budgets, and ensure brand consistency across all channels. Their focus is on driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for Bass Pro Shops Hospitality.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In partnership with ownership and the Senior Leadership Team establish brand identity and brand standards in relation to marketing and public relationsResponsible for overseeing, directing and managing Big Cedar’s advertising, direct marketing, online/web marketing, promotions and strategic partnershipsOversee all aspects of Big Cedar public relations, ensuring that the information and messaging about Big Cedar is in accordance with brand standards and the wishes of ownershipResponsible for tracking and analyzing campaign resultsOversee the production of marketing and resort collateral in accordance with brand standardsResponsible for all aspects of accurate budget management for advertising and promotionsBe proactive in identifying ways to promote and cross-promote Big Cedar, Top of the Rock, Dogwood Canyon and Buffalo Ridge services and amenities to maximize revenueProvide superior service to our customers (both internal and external) at all times.  Follow Big Cedar’s Service Standards at all timesPartner with Bass Pro Shop’s marketing department to create and deliver successful marketing collateral and campaignsOther duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:    Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Marketing/Business preferred4+ years leading marketing efforts preferredAbility to organize and manage multiple prioritiesMinimum of 2 years in a supervisory role with experience in coordination and managing staff

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

Building relationships with team members, other departments, and external partnersProficiency in relevant marketing technologies, such as CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and social media management toolsBuilding relationships with team members, other departments, and external partnersIdentifying and resolving marketing challenges, adapting to changing market conditionsGenerating innovative marketing ideas and campaigns that capture attention and drive resultsManaging multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budgetAnalyzing marketing data, identifying trends, and measuring the success of marketing campaignsEffectively communicating marketing plans and strategies to various stakeholders, including team members, senior management, and external partnersInspiring and motivating marketing teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and providing guidanceDeveloping and implementing effective marketing strategies that align with overall business goalsKnowledge of brand development, brand management, and consistent messaging across all platforms is keyProficiency in areas like SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, and email marketing is essential in today's landscapeUnderstanding how to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify trends

Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
