Position Overview:

Leading our Implants Marketing business, the Director of Marketing is responsible for driving the downstream marketing vision, objectives, and initiatives to deliver portfolio growth for the commercial North America organization.  This role serves in a leadership capacity and interfaces between North America Sales organization and global business unit partners. The Marketing Director must have a deep understanding of the customer needs, market opportunities and have a data-driven approach to develop and execute marketing plans, inclusive of sales enablement tools and portfolio training.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develops portfolio growth strategy and marketing plans to achieve business objectives, monitoring performance to ensure outcomes are met Ensures commercial execution and coordination of growth plans across the Commercial Organization, especially field sales, strategic partners and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) Defines the market segment and customer targets to drive portfolio growth with appropriate product messaging and assets to drive customer acquisition and loyalty Performs analysis of brand performance conducting customer research and market surveillance to inform decisions and strategy Delivers Executive Review and S&OP process of the Implants & Lab portfolio, in coordination with the Sales, Operations, and FP&A, including financial forecasting Evaluates and leads channel plans to drive portfolio growth across the commercial organization Responsible for pricing and promotional strategies to maximize ROI and business impact Leads the Commercial Development team to develop and deliver product training to the sales organization and customers, while also ensuring the sales enablement tools are appropriately provided for sales effectiveness New product planning and execution to achieve incremental growth targets Provides direction and leadership to Brand Management, Commercial Development, Marcom, Web/Ecomm, Social and Analyst functions Develops the Education strategy and maintains KOL relationships in service of the brand strategy to serve dentist needs and create unique experiences Establishes processes and metrics for marketing activities to ensure effectiveness and outcomes are achieved Partners with the Global Business units to ensure proper product messaging, competitive positioning and new product development to create differentiation

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

Education:

B.A. or B.S. required in Marketing or Business from an Accredited University or College, advanced degree preferred

 

Years and Type of Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of marketing or related experience preferred with demonstrated people management experience Areas of experience should include team-based projects, new product development/management, brand development, EDM/social initiatives, and web/e-commerce and Marketing communications Experience in the dental/medical device industry preferred Demonstrated success in the positioning of a new brand and new products within an established market Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced environment and delivering results with efficient use of resources Experience working with external suppliers, e.g., advertising, research and P.R. agencies

 

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

Knowledge of the methods and procedures involved in strategic business planning and classical marketing; knows the organization’s markets and products, key business processes, distribution channels, key suppliers and industry competition. Ability to supervise/forecast expenses for department/company needs. Creative skills for both printed materials, advertising and presentations. Knowledge of multi-media production, communication, and promotion techniques and methods. Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.  This includes strategic planning resource allocation, leadership techniques, and classical Marketing modeling. Knowledge of the policies and procedures involved in managing an organization’s risk exposures to achieve its objectives in a manner consistent with public interest, safety, environmental factors, and the law.
