We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Director of Maintenance to lead our maintenance team and uphold the highest standards of excellence in facility operations.

Position Summary:
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance and repair. This includes planning and executing preventative maintenance programs, managing vendor relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of maintenance staff. This role plays a vital part in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective completion of all work orders.

Perform inspections of the building, equipment, and systems to ensure safety and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.

Maintain documentation of repairs, inspections, and safety checks.

Coordinate with contractors and vendors for larger-scale maintenance or renovation projects.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance needs.

Ensure all maintenance activities align with our standards of “Care Beyond Compare.”

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care environment.

Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Life Safety Code requirements is a plus.
