The Director of IT Finance is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing the financial reporting, planning, and analysis of the IT Function. This role partners closely with IT and Finance leadership to ensure cost-effective technology investment, governance, and financial transparency across the IT organization.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
+ Lead the development of annual and multi-year IT financial plans in collaboration with the CIO and Finance
+ Oversee IT planning, forecasting and financial modeling to support strategic goals
+ Own the end-to-end management of the IT financial plan, including capital and operational expenditures
+ Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, variance analysis, and risk assessments
+ Monitor IT cost drivers, vendor contracts and service-level agreements to identify cost-savings and optimization opportunities
+ Establish financial governance processes for IT Spend, including approval workflows, policy adherence, and audit readiness
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to IT spending
+ Serve as finance advisor to IT leadership and project teams on budgeting, investment planning and financial risks
+ Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams on technology sourcing strategies
+ Drive a strong and collaborative partnership with IT and Finance
+ Build and lead a high-performing IT Finance team
+ Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field required.
+ MBA preferred
+ 10+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in IT Finance or Technology FP&A
**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
+ CPA, or CMA preferred
**FUNCTIONAL SKILLS**
+ Proven track record of managing complex IT budgets and understanding of project accounting
+ Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
+ Familiarity with IT systems and software.
+ Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
+ Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills to interpret and communicate financial analysis to business partners in a concise and useful manner.
