strategic leadership in collaboration with the provider leadership team for Orthopedics Hospitalist Medicine Neuro Spine Trauma Podiatry and Rehabilitation at Hartford Hospital The Director working collaboratively with physician leaders the executive leadership team and relevant clinical and administrative leaders will plan comprehensive programs and ensure that the highest level of quality patient centered care is delivered Working closely with the Physician in Chief and VP of BJI the Director will improve operating results across the service lines by creating an integrated service line business plan and operational metrics that align with the achievement of key hospital strategic objectives Key AccountabilitiesProvides leadership to the Orthopedic Unit Managers in identifying resources required to achieve quality and safe patient care results As a champion of the Hartford Healthcare culture the Director models the HHC Leadership behaviors to inspire and mentor staffDevelops and implements policies procedures and clinical protocols in alignment with hospital standards Ensures delivery of evidence based nursing care in orthopedic surgical and non surgical cases Monitors patient satisfaction scores and implement service improvement strategiesCreates a thriving trusting team culture Provides team with clear expectations and feedback and encourages professional development identifying opportunities for growth and ongoing educationDevelops and monitors operating budget and assures appropriate resource allocations Provides financial management expertise for strategic planning budgeting analysis and decision makingCollaborates with administration peers colleagues and attending physicians regarding the patient care model with a focus on aligning nursing practice to ensure consistency and continuity across the organizationCollaborates with medical staff physical therapy and case management to optimize patient outcomesEnsures written and verbal Visible leader with excellent interpersonal communication skills who relates well with all levels of the organizationA creative forward thinking leader with the proven ability to engage coach and mentor direct reports colleagues and other key stakeholdersA demonstrated track record designing strategies and delivering solutions in areas including but not limited to patient experience patient safety employee engagement and workflow redesignThe ability to work with diverse groups of physicians voluntaryfull time teachingnonteaching and appreciate their contributions to
