A Director of Housekeeping with Conrad Hotels and Resorts will manage all aspect of the Housekeeping operations, including the development of the Team Members within the group so to provide an exceptional experience for our Guests.
What will I be doing?
As a Director of Housekeeping, you will have management responsibility for all aspects of Housekeeping in the hotel. Quality, service and high standards are critical to ensure an exceptional Guest experience. Specifically, an Executive Housekeeper will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping and Laundry, as identified by the hotel brand standards.
Establish, update and maintain Housekeeping manuals, job descriptions, policies, procedures and training.
Maintain all Housekeeping records and files and ensure safe-keeping of all lost and found property.
Attend Rooms Division, Department Heads and other designated meeting.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance appraisals for all Housekeeping Team Members.
Ensure that guest complains are tactfully handled and necessary action are taken.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation and safety regulations.
Set Departmental budgets, inventories, and effective cost controls.
Maintain good working relationships with all other functions in the hotel.
Communicate with third party suppliers and oversee work performed by contractors.
Analyse operational data to identity areas for improvement and innovation.
Manage employee relations, recruiting Team Members as required, and follow the appraisal procedures for Team Members.
Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of all Housekeeping Team Members with an emphasis on training and team work.
Provide strong leadership to the Housekeeping team so that targets are met and exceeded for the hotel and for individual development.
Train, develop, and manage performance of existing Team Members.
Driving Preventive Maintenance and Landscape Management
Perform other duties as assigned.

Previous experience at the Executive Assistant Housekeeper level and above
Advanced knowledge and understanding in hotel operations
A successful track record of managing a large team
Good interpersonal ability
Ability to work under pressure at all times

Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
Vocational training in Housekeeping or similar field
