Hyatt **About this Role:** The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and efficiency across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role ensures that all operations align with brand standards and guest expectations while maintaining a strong focus on staff performance, departmental budgeting, inventory control, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include directing, supervising, and coordinating daily housekeeping activities, managing supplies and equipment, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. The Director of Housekeeping is also responsible for the development of colleagues through effective training, coaching, and performance management, ensuring team members are engaged, empowered, and equipped to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, along with the ability to effectively collaborate with department heads, team members, and guests to achieve optimal satisfaction and operational success. The Director of Housekeeping offers a competitive salary and is incentive eligible based on KPI achievement. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure consistent service delivery. + Collaborate with Front Office and Engineering teams to ensure rooms are prepared and available on schedule. + Uphold exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the property. + Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of housekeeping employees. + Foster a collaborative and service-focused work culture promoting morale and service excellence. + Respond promptly to guest feedback and implement effective solutions to address concerns. + Analyze guest satisfaction data and spearhead initiatives to enhance service quality. + Manage departmental budget, controlling labor and supply expenses to optimize operational efficiency. + Maintain accurate inventory levels of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies. **Qualifications:** **What We’re Looking For:** + Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a housekeeping department head-required. + 4 years of progressive hotel management Hyatt experience is preferred. + Proven leadership in managing large housekeeping teams in a full-service or luxury hotel environment. + Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable. + Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets, labor forecasting, and cost control. + Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, and implement process improvements. + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. + In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and sanitation protocols. + Proficient in housekeeping systems and property management software (e.g., HotSOS, Opera, or similar platforms). + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed. **_What We Offer:_** + _We believe in taking care of our people.
