Position Statement

\n

The Director of Finance is an integral part of the 4D structure within the hotel, providing support and technical expertise to other members of the team. This role is responsible for all accounting and financial requirements for the hotel in an environment of tight control. He / she will provide financial support, advice and expertise to the General Manager and hotel team, with the aim of maximizing value, developing the quality of the Finance function within the hotel.

What will I be doing?

As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

\n

Financial Accounting & Control

\n\nManage hotel accounting records and reports in compliance with statutory, corporate, and owner requirements.\nEnsure accuracy and reconciliation of balance sheet and accounts.\nMaintain effective internal controls over assets, liabilities, revenue, and costs.\nEnsure compliance with management, lease, and legal agreements.\nSafeguard contracts, permits, and licenses, and oversee audits and corrective actions.\n\n

Management Reporting

\n\nDeliver timely, accurate, and action-driven financial reports.\nUse KPIs, benchmarking, and scorecards to drive performance analysis and decision-making.\nEnsure all internal and external reports reconcile and are supported by documentation.\n\n

Business Support

\n\nAdvise GM and leadership team on financial performance and commercial initiatives.\nEvaluate business proposals and support major decisions with financial insights.\n\n

Systems & IT

\n\nOptimize financial systems and data integrity.\nCollaborate with IT to enhance reporting, processing, and efficiency.\nEnsure system security, maintenance, and issue resolution.\n\n

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

\n\nSupport strategic hotel planning with financial insight.\nLead budget and forecast cycles, identifying trends and risks.\nProvide forward-looking analysis and ensure clear communication of business outlooks.\n\n

People Development

\n\nEnsure performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement.\nPromote financial literacy across departments.\n\n

Cash & Working Capital Management

\n\nMinimize working capital and optimize cash flow.\nOversee bank reconciliations, cash forecasts, and credit control processes.\nReview AR with Commercial Director and maintain reserves for doubtful debts.\n\n

Cost Management

\n\nAnalyze cost drivers and identify efficiency opportunities.\nBenchmark costs and ensure value-for-money purchasing.\nLead by example in maintaining a cost-effective finance operation.\n

What are we looking for? 

\n

A Director of Finance serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

\n\nUniversity qualification and above.\nFinance / Accounting major and certified, e.g. ACCA/ CPA.\n5 years in hotel accounting with at least 2 years in similar position with an international hotel.  \nProficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. \n\n
