Director of Finance

Cassia, an Augustana Care/ Elim Care affiliation, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to work with our growing department. The successful performance of this position requires meeting high standards in the areas of accounting, financial and statistical reporting. The Director of Finance reports to the VP of Finance.

Position Type: Full-Time, Hybrid

Wage Range: $100,000 - $115,000 annually depending on experience

Director of Finance Responsibilities:

Lead the Month-End Close closing process by working with staff Accountants to prepare the financial statements by following GAAP and rules and regulations applies to Long-Term Care and HUD facilitiesPrepare and compile Annual budget for skilled nursing homes, Assisted Living, and HousingPlan, organize and coordinate the year-end auditPrepare Medicare and Medicaid Cost ReportsFile the 990 tax returns and sales taxAttend Board MeetingsAssist in new business acquisitionDevelop and maintain accounting policies and proceduresProvide support to the senior management team and site staffRecruit, train and retain competent accounting staffComplete other projects and tasks assignedDirector of Finance Qualifications:Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and state and federal long-term care regulationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPossess strong work ethic and lead by exampleAbility to make solid, objective, ethical decisionsExcellent communication, organizational, technology and leadership skillsA team player who is willing to help and to share and accept ideas and information with othersAt least 3 – 5 years of experience in Long-Term Care accounting with previous management responsibilityBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a CPA designation is preferredHighly proficient with Excel and WordKnowledge of Sage Intacct preferredCassia Benefits:Competitive Pay with experience-based raisesTuition Assistance & Student Loan Forgiveness Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) & 403(b)/401(k) with Employer MatchComprehensive Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance) for Full-Time Employees
