About Hyatt Regency London Olympia
Hyatt Regency London Olympia will be part of a major redevelopment project transforming Olympia, London's historic convention centre built in 1873, into a comprehensive convention, entertainment, and cultural district in West London. Anchored by the iconic glass barrel-vaulted roofs of the Grand and National Halls, the new 14-acre site will feature a boutique multi-screen arthouse cinema, a 4,000-capacity music and performing arts venue, a 1,500-seat theatre, a rooftop sky garden, as well as restaurants, shops, cafés, and office and co-working spaces.
Hyatt Regency London Olympia will offer 204 rooms, a bar and restaurant, as well as a lobby lounge. Additionally, there will be 3 meeting rooms and direct connectivity to the London Olympia Convention Centre.
The role
You will be responsible for delivering a strategic Finance function for the hotel and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Finance, managing an onsite team of two you will report to the General Manager, with a dotted line to the Area Finance Director – UKI.
Your focus during pre-opening will be
Set up the onsite Finance functionin line with Hyatt and UK guidelinesRecruiting and building yours and the hotel team and focusing on Colleague EngagementPost-opening you will
Responsible for short and long-term planning and the management of the Finance, IT and Procurement functionsActively involved in the hotel management team as a member of the Hotel Leadership CommitteeManage and lead hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility also includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash managementAssist in nurturing the relationship with the owners. Be responsible for supervising and coordinating owner and Hyatt reporting as required. Provide custom reports, respond quickly to questions or requests and attend meetingsComplete the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Coordinate external auditor's visits, respond to auditor requests, approve any and all adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final auditPrepare and review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyse the variance explanations, involving the department managers in this process. Take initiative to manage trouble shooting for respective cost controls and revenue enhancementAid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plansAbout you
You will have a relevant background in a similar role in the five-star market with ACCA or similar qualifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential. Hotel pre-opening experience is beneficial.
