Director of Finance
**Description** Job Summary Responsible for providing senior management with the analysis and information they need to make operational, financial and strategic decisions. This position oversees a team responsible for gross margin and operational analysis that will drive efficiency gains as well as improve profitability for the company. This role will create and lead the (SBU) strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes with the ultimate goal of focusing the organization on key metrics that help generate value for the company. **Primary Job Functions** + This position will need to effectively interact with multiple levels of leadership within the organization including SBU and Corporate Leadership. + Provide recommendations for efficiency improvements through the development of financial models and summary of assumptions. + Lead identification and measurement of key performance indicators to drive improved business performance. + Oversee the development and modification of monthly reporting analysis that provides financial and operational information for internal decision-making processes. + Create and lead strategic planning, budgeting and reporting processes for the company. Challenge the business to ensure that the budgets and forecasts are set aggressively yet realistically. + Prepare, review and distribute monthly comparisons of the budget to actual results together with variance explanations for the Organization Financial results. + Continuously refine projections and analyze variances of margins, operating activities and current and past trends in key performance indicators. + Prepare and present business reviews to the CFO, SBU Leadership, and other senior management along with applicable variance explanations. + Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. **Education, Experience and Certification** **Required/Preferred:** Required | **Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree | **Description:** Related Degree **Required/Preferred:** Required | **Years of Experience:** 7 years | **Description:** Progressive financial analysis experience with 3 years or more in a supervisory role. JAMIS Prime Experience preferred **Required/Preferred:** Preferred | **License/Certification:** Microsoft Certifications **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** + Strong analytical ability in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, cash forecasting and financial modeling + Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong track record building and developing consultative and influential relationships + Strong ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups at all levels; able to navigate complex and competing interests of multiple stakeholders + Comfortable making recommendations and presenting financial analysis to senior management + Understanding of both financial and operational relationships and how each affects financial performance + Knowledge of Indirect Pool structures and DCAA compliance + Able to research emerging trends and apply them to business process improvements and efficiencies + Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities and a thorough understanding of databases and how to extract the appropriate data for analytics **Financial Responsibility:** Yes **People Management** + **Does this role have to manage other people:** Yes + **Does this role complete timesheets:** Yes + **Does this role determine goals:** Yes **Travel Requirements** What percentage of their role do they have to leave their base location? The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $190,000.
