Job Summary
The Director, Facilities for hospitals oversees the operations, maintenance, and management of all facility-related services across the hospital campus. This role is responsible for ensuring that the physical environment of the hospital supports the organization's mission of providing high-quality patient care. The Director of Facilities will lead a team in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient environment, in alignment with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Healthcare Administration, or related field. required or A combination of education and extensive experience in facilities management may be considered in lieu of a degree Master's Degree preferred 7-9 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management required 3-5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare environment, ideally managing facilities for hospitals or healthcare systems. requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of healthcare facility regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in building systems management (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). Experience with capital improvement projects and vendor management. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex issues under pressure.Licenses and Certifications
BOILER OP - Boiler Operator required Certification in area of practice preferred
