\nJob Summary
\nThe Director of Nursing plans, directs, and syncs nursing and clinical services at Baylor Scott and White Health and is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the Emergency Department (ED) and Nursing Support Services. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, fosters a collaborative and efficient work environment, and drives continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\n\nOversee nursing services and implements both strategic and operational plans.\nTrack daily productivity and address any deviations from established standards.\nLeads the establishment, monitoring, review, and reporting of quality improvement goals.\nInvestigate adverse events and consistently monitor and assess trends in nursing practice to identify opportunities for enhancing patient safety.\nCollaborate with clinical and non-clinical stake holders to establish multidisciplinary processes that enhance patient care and experience.\nEngage in rounding with purpose to identify patient needs, opportunities to improve the environment of care, and ways to optimize patient safety.\nEnsure all nursing services are compliant with legal and regulatory guidelines.\nDevelop metrics for monitoring performance.\nFacilitate effective communication inter and intra departmentally.\n\nKey Success Factors

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Bachelor's DegreeEXPERIENCE - (3) Three Years of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION-Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitate (CPR): BLS or CPR Required.
