Description As Director of Delivery for AWS Professional Services (ProServe) North America, you'll shape how our consultants deliver solutions to strategic customers across the region. You will be responsible for delivery excellence which includes leading our delivery strategy, governance, and managing capacity across AWS ProServe North America. This executive role combines technical leadership with program management, requiring you to drive the regional strategy while ensuring excellence in customer engagement delivery. On the technical side, you'll oversee reviews, implement new technologies, and influence service roadmaps. Programmatically, you'll manage stakeholder relationships, mitigate delivery risks, and drive successful customer outcomes. The role requires collaboration with key partners, integrators, software vendors, and managed service providers externally and global teams internally to help customers succeed in large, complex engagements. The ideal candidate will bring deep understanding of professional services, cloud products and services, with proven experience leading go-to-market initiatives. You should be a proven expert and thought-leader in complex business-IT transformations, including platform modernization, digital transformation, cloud deployment, and enterprise architecture. You'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills to transform ambiguous challenges into actionable plans. Success in this role requires the ability to build trust with C-level stakeholders while leading cross-functional teams effectively. Key job responsibilities - Build and lead a high-performing global delivery team of 500+, with a focus on North America delivery capabilities - Lead strategy, governance, and delivery standards for AWS ProServe North America - Ensure delivery of best-in-class solutions for customers and partners, meeting and exceeding satisfaction targets - Drive technical excellence through deliverable reviews, technology implementation, and Service Team roadmap influence - Develop and execute complex, multi-year solutions for strategic customers and partners - Establish centralized delivery frameworks and mechanisms to enhance efficiency - Oversee day-to-day operations, including both technical practices and program management - Drive risk management and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful customer outcomes - Design and implement transformation initiatives that accelerate customer success About the team The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specifics outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries. Basic Qualifications - 15+ years' experience in IT and/or Management Consulting/Services - 10+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role operating in a leader of leader capacity, including experience building and mentoring high performing teams - 5+ years’ experience leading go-to-market initiatives across North America and/or globally - Experience managing IT transformation projects - Financial acumen with P&L management experience - Experience in leading business development activities and managing sales cycles - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications - Deep understanding of the AWS platform and how to position security as a strategic differentiator - Experience working with enterprise customers, ideally within North America - History of contributing to industry thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, or patents in cloud - Proficiency in financial analysis, contract management, and risk management - Advanced technology degree and/or AWS Professional level certifications Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $241,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
