Job Description
As the Director of Civil Engineering, you will lead the strategic design and execution of complex coastal and waterfront infrastructure projects, including seawalls, ports, marinas, and shoreline protection systems. You will oversee a dedicated engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship, while serving as the primary liaison for clients and cross-functional internal teams. This role combines leadership, innovation, and client engagement to deliver resilient and sustainable waterfront solutions.
ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of coastal and waterfront infrastructure projects, including breakwaters, seawalls, ports, marinas, and shoreline protection systems.Supervise and develop staff, ensuring a high level of performance and professional growth.Serve as the primary contact for clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams, providing timely updates and progress reports.Essential Skills10+ years of experience working with coastal/waterfront projects.Strong project management skills.Professional Engineer (PE) License.Additional Skills & QualificationsOwnership opportunity in the company after 3-5 years.Work Environment
The work environment is a modern office located in Benton Harbor, MI. The role requires being in the office 5 days a week, for a total of 40 hours.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
