**Director of Business Development - Europe**
This role is part of the NGAS Strategy and Growth (S&G) team in Brussels, Belgium. The post-holder will report to the NGAS BD Director in Brussels.
Based in Brussels, responsibilities will include:
+ Develop and lead the execution of an integrated strategy for Northern European Regional Growth aligned to NGAS sector and corporate priorities
+ Provide BD leadership for in-country responsibilities to U.S. Based Capture and Program Teams and company senior level executive leadership.
+ Contribute to the development of internal strategies and plans for regional growth
+ Key Account Manager to Lead and manage external stakeholder engagement and relationships to include customers, governmental officials, trade associations, political advisers, Parliamentary bodies, Industrial Partners and NG Consultant Teams
+ Lead and oversee Engagement with representatives from Ministries of Defense, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, NATO and Industrial Partners in the Region, hosting and coordinating meetings and workshops
+ Lead the Business Development planning and coordination of regional conferences, seminars, tradeshows and sponsorships
+ Provide input to strategy and market analysis to support a regional growth strategy
+ Lead BD Activities for Regional Strategies for Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA), ISR and AEW&C Capabilities, supporting larger Global and Regional Strategies.
+ Provide input into competitive analysis, including the facilitation of red team/black hat reviews and independent research and analysis
+ Conduct Research and Analysis on National Procurement Requirements and Processes within the region and mature NGAS opportunities along the Business Acquisition Process to support Sector Growth initiatives
+ Conduct Research and Analysis on NATO and EU Procurement Requirements and Processes within the region and identify opportunities for NGAS engagements to support Regional Growth initiatives
+ Provide oversight and engagement on European and NATO Political Affairs for Northern Europe
Routine interactions will be across the NGAS Strategy and Growth Team in Europe and the U.S., and with the corporate offices in Europe. Travel to the U.S., UK and within Northern Europe will be required.
**This position will be a long-term expatriate opportunity that includes benefits to accommodate an international assignment.**
Basic qualifications:
12 years with a Bachelors or 10 years with a Masters and extensive work experience required with European Defense, NATO or corporate Business Development Background.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Desired characteristics include:
+ Bachelor’s Degree level education in Engineering/STEM, International Affairs or Political Science
+ Previous experience with the EU, NATO or international defense and security, specific experience in a European Nation or region
+ Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations or employee resource groups to achieve a common goal and developing deep customer relationships through understanding and trust
+ Excellent written and oral presentation skills including the ability to generate written material to communicate to customers at all levels, including senior executives
+ Highly motivated, resilient, ambitious, capable of developing and “growing” in post
+ Proficiency in one or more European languages
+ Existing NATO Secret Security Clearance
+ Experience in conducting market segment analysis and evaluation
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrable interpersonal abilities
+ Highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and an eye for detail
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Active US DoD Top Secret clearance
+ MS or MA degree
+ USAF/USMC/USN/International/Coalition customer knowledge in airborne AEW, HALE, and/or unmanned aircraft.
+ Programmatic and technical understanding of advanced airborne surveillance systems
+ Deep understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Financing (FMF) and US export policy and processes.
+ Ability to apply entrepreneurial approaches to expand NGAS markets. Ability to integrate NGAS capabilities into mission level capabilities.

Primary Level Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
