Director of Brand Strategy & Design
This position is approved to be fully remote, but the successful candidate will have an option to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity if desired. Regular travel throughout the year for various business meetings and functions will be required. This position offers a base salary range of $142,797.00 - $237,998.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus based on company performance. OVERVIEW Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Brand Strategy and Design teams in order to create exceptional customer experiences that build brand equity, drive customer traffic, and achieve budgeted sales and margin goals. Through long-term planning and consistent execution, ensure that the Sheetz Brand has a strong, relevant, and differentiated position within the marketplace that adds value to our customers, communities, and ultimately, the Sheetz organization. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities. 2. Complete an annual budget for assigned area of responsibility to maximum impact while balancing fiscal responsibility. 3. Implement and maintain an effective succession plan for assigned area of responsibility. 4. Direct the development of Sheetz marketing strategies and the deployment of effective messaging across all mediums to support the growth of the Sheetz brand and all relevant sub-brands. 5. Direct the strategy process and execution for promotional planning and brand building through paid media, public relations, external events, sponsorships and donations – all designed to build public perception, create customer traffic and drive sales. 6. Direct strategy development for Sheetz brand design in order to enhance marketing effectiveness, achieve market share of voice and increase cultural relevancy of the Sheetz brand. 7. Be accountable for exceptional Store Design strategies that enable us to grow our store count efficiently, manage design solutions for our existing fleet of stores effectively and ultimately create extraordinary retail experiences for our customers and employees. 8. Be accountable for key strategic agency partnerships that enhance team output and capacity – these agencies may exist in the forms of media buying, creative development, retail design and architectural firms QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or Business Policy concentration required. • MBA with a concentration in Marketing preferred. Experience • Minimum 7 years brand or marketing management accountability in a corporate environment (preferably in the Retail, Food Service, or Consumer Goods Industries) experience required. • Minimum 5 years team leadership and accountability in a corporate environment required. • Experience managing an agency relationship in fields of Advertising, Creative Development or Design preferred – directly employed or client based.
