Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead financial operations and reporting in our Dallas, Texas office. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing accounting strategies that align with organizational goals and support long-term success. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive operational excellence and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement accounting strategies to promote operational efficiency and achieve long-term business objectives.
• Serve as a key advisor to the executive leadership team on financial and accounting matters.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
• Strengthen internal control processes to maintain alignment with organizational policies and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounting practices with broader business priorities.
• Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage financial institution relationships, ensuring effective communication and alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting standards, addressing any emerging issues proactively.
• Utilize advanced financial modeling and data analytics tools to support strategic decision-making. Requirements • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory; additional financial certifications are advantageous.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and strategic leadership, preferably in commercial real estate or property management.
• In-depth knowledge of real estate accounting, lease management, and asset financing.
• Strong experience in working with financial institutions and managing key banking relationships.
• Proficiency in real estate accounting software, data analytics, and financial modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams at all organizational levels.
• Familiarity with systems such as ADP, BlackLine, Concur, and CRM platforms is a plus.
