The role youll contribute:
The Director of International Recruitment and Strategy is responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract, hire, and retain top international clinical talentincluding registered nurses, medical technologists, and allied health professionalswho align with AdventHealth's mission and care standards. This leader will direct a specialized recruitment team and build robust international pipelines through strategic partnerships with global educational institutions, government programs, and recruiting agencies. The Director will work closely with clinical Leaders, Market HR, and legal teams to ensure a seamless and compliant recruitment experience. A critical function of this role involves close collaboration with AdventHealth's in-house immigration attorney, external immigration counsel, and internal immigration coordinators to ensure all international hires meet U.S. immigration requirements and professional licensure standards.

Strategic Leadership
Develop and lead AdventHealths international recruitment strategy in alignment with workforce planning and diversity goals.
Provide executive leadership and oversight for system-wide international clinical recruitment initiatives.
Adapt strategy in response to evolving immigration policy, global labor trends, and international healthcare education shifts.
Immigration & Compliance Oversight
Serve as the primary operational liaison between recruitment and legal teams, working in close partnership with in-house immigration counsel, outside legal advisors, and immigration coordinators.
Ensure all recruitment efforts meet U.S. and international labor laws, credentialing standards, and AdventHealth policy requirements.
International Talent Pipeline Development
Cultivate and maintain partnerships with global educational institutions, workforce mobility programs, and recruitment agencies.
Oversee international candidate sourcing, onboarding, and assimilation programs tailored to diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
Provide leadership and strategic oversight for AdventHealths TAP (Transcultural Assimilation Program), ensuring that international clinical talent is effectively prepared, supported, and integrated into AdventHealths cultural and clinical environment.
Lead a dedicated team of recruiters, coordinators, and support staff focused on international hiring and integration.
Set goals, track KPIs, and optimize recruitment processes to ensure timely and high-quality placements.
Foster a mission-aligned, performance-driven culture committed to compassionate service and professional excellence.
Cross-Functional and Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with nursing and clinical leaders to forecast hiring needs and inform talent acquisition plans.
Collaborate with HR, legal, credentialing, compliance, and onboarding teams to ensure alignment and execution of international hiring strategies.
Provide updates to executive leadership and stakeholders on hiring metrics, compliance status, and program success.
Outreach and Employer Branding
Represent AdventHealth at global job fairs, virtual recruiting events, and international healthcare conferences.
Oversee creation of culturally appropriate marketing materials and communication strategies for international audiences.
Qualifications
The expertise and experience youll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
10 years of progressive recruitment or international HR experience, preferably in healthcare.
5 years of leadership experience
Expertise in international healthcare recruitment, immigration law, and workforce planning.
Strong understanding of U.S. visa categories (H-1B, TN, EB-3, etc.) and licensure requirements (VisaScreen, CGFNS, NCLEX, etc.).
Proven success in building and leading global recruitment pipelines.
Exceptional cross-cultural communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in managing applicant tracking systems (ATS), immigration case platforms, and recruitment analytics.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
REGISTRATION, LICENSURE, OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:
