Otis Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Director for a major infrastructure construction project in the Greater Toronto Area.
On a typical day you will:
Lead a team comprised of various Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Associates in the complex execution of a major infrastructure construction project
Provide strategic vision, team guidance and process-based foundation to ensure that the project is executed to the highest standard
Model Otis leadership behaviors to enable high morale of operating territory colleagues and demonstrate Otis’ cultural beliefs and best practices
Establish and maintain customer centric partnerships through leading with pace, quality, and developing high performing teams to continue strong customer loyalty
Complete project in a manner that supports Operating Unit and Operating Territory’s financial and non-financial objectives and supports the implementation of all North American initiatives
Drive project management team to source, supply and deliver material per project schedule
Drive field management team to meet installation project schedule with field labor resources
Ensure completion of the project safely, on time and within material and labor estimates
Drive a safety culture on the project through communication, discipline, recognition and training
Ensure compliance with safety requirements including daily JHA, hoisting and rigging plans, critical steps in process audits, FSE’s, FPA’s
What you will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
10+ years’ experience as a manager in new construction in the elevator/escalator industry
Proven track record of meeting financial objectives
Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, and the ability to lead a diverse project team
Ability to meet tight deadlines, navigate difficult situations, and work well under pressure
Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills as well as strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project)
Ability to travel up to 50% in the Greater Toronto Area
