Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Director of Grateful Patient Fundraising. The Director of Grateful Patient Fundraising is responsible for the development and implementation of a grateful patient fundraising program, in coordination with the Executive Director of the UHS Foundation, UHS senior leadership team and UHS clinical teams.

Job Responsibilities
+ Serve as a lead strategist in creating and implementing a major and principal gift strategy to advance the goals of UHS and the UHS Foundation.
+ Advance the organization’s mission by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and donors, and building out the grateful patients fundraising program
+ Devise, implement and manage effective, creative strategies designed to individually and systematically interest, engage and secure a wide range of key prospects
+ Identify, recruit, train and develop leadership roles for staff volunteers and encourage partnership between providers and the UHS Foundation
+ Shape key institutional, departmental and development-related messages through the direction and preparation of major proposals, solicitation letters and other materials for major prospects and donors
+ Build and manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and donors
+ Share responsibility for the strategic planning, development and implementation of the Foundation’s goals in collaboration with Executive Director of the UHS Foundation and Foundation staff
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
+ A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ fundraising experience, specifically in individual solicitation
Preferred:
+ Major gifts fundraising experience
+ Experience in a healthcare setting
