We are\nseeking a Director, Government Relations to\ndevelop and manage a comprehensive state and local government affairs campaign\nfor Honeywell and Advanced Materials. 

This\nposition will be based in Washington, DC at Honeywell’s Global Government\nRelations headquarters and operate on a hybrid work schedule. This role will\ninclude frequent travel (up to 50%) within supporting region and other key\nState Capitals, as needed.
The Director\nof State and Local Government Relations Affairs will drive adoption of\nlegislation that support Honeywell’s products.

Key Responsibilities:Manage multi-state legislative\n campaignCoordinate a cross-functional\n team spanning legal, commercial, communications, regulatory, R&D,\n product stewardship, and sales functions as well as outside public affairs\n consultantsRepresent the Company before\n various administrative, regulatory, legislative, and executive levels of\n state government, and in some instances, local jurisdictions.Identify, analyze, and report to\n the Company business, legislative and regulatory issues that could\n potentially impact the business and recommend and manage a course of\n action Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulators,\n elected officials, civil servants, and other key stakeholdersDevelop and collaborate on the\n production of high-quality written recommendations, briefings,\n publications, presentations, and other collateral that communicate complex\n messages clearly and effectively to audiences, with a focus on government\n stakeholdersCoordinate strategy with\n consultants and trade association representatives to ensure active\n engagement on the areas of interest to Honeywell and that all are aligned\n in support of our business strategiesOrganize and drive communication\n with Honeywell senior leadership, including meetings, briefings, and\n campaign reviewsParticipate, serve, and assume\n leadership positions on industry-related associations, steering\n committees, and networking organizations to protect & promote the\n Company interests.

The annual base salary range for this position is $206K - $257.5K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. In\nOctober 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials\nbusiness to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of\nHoneywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials\nbusiness, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs. 

This\nposition is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named\nSolstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs.  This is expected\nto occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

YOU MUST-HAVE:Bachelor’s and/or Advanced degree, Political\n Science, Public Policy, Law, Chemistry or Engineering preferred or\n applicable comparable experience10+ years of State Government Relations\n experienceDemonstrated familiarity with the energy and\n chemical regulatory policy landscape, including major legislative &\n regulatory trends and ability to grasp technical details quicklyExperience operating in a highly matrixed,\n fast-paced environment
