Emerson eagerly seeks a dynamic Global Business Services (GBS) Planning and Strategy Director who drives strong financial, operational leadership and project management to support the overall GBS business strategy initiative. This role bridges strategy development, operations and finance, as well as helping the GBS organization make strategic decisions that drive efficiency and effectiveness. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Collaborating with the GBS leadership to define strategic goals and develop long-term business plans that drive the GBS organization’s operational effectiveness. Developing, monitor, and collaborate with leadership in establishing its strategic direction and objectives and builds long-term strategic and business development plans. Developing and analyze GBS operational data and key performance indicators (critical metrics) against strategic objectives and operational perfection to identify inefficiencies and report the findings to GBS leadership. Supporting the development of recommendations and approaches for strategic and operational improvements. Identifying and review industry and market trends; analyze and apply this information in development of strategies. May assess metrics to gauge the success of new strategies. Reviewing Enterprise and GBS governance, balanced score card performance, and help develop programs and analysis to support the business planning cycle. Align financial performance and budgets across the GBS sites to drive effective financial analysis and forecasting. Organizing team and collaborator meetings, including meeting agendas, materials, development of content, capturing meeting minutes, actions and decisions. Following up on assigned tasks and ensure accountability among partners. Managing projects related to pivotal initiatives and actions within the GBS organization including project timelines, deliverables and resource coordination. Other duties as assigned.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, or a related field Relevant years of experience in strategic planning, operations, and finance with also experience in strategic management commensurate with the level of the position. Strong proficiency in financial modeling and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional teams. Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is a plus.
