**Job Summary**
The Corporate Food Safety Program Director provides strategic leadership, direction and guidance regarding ADM corporate food safety programs. Responsible for leading a diverse group of quality SME professionals the director operates within the Quality and Food Safety Technology Center, is a core member of ADM’s Quality Leadership Team, establishing global standards in their respective field. The Corporate Food Safety Program Director will be responsible for establishing, developing and providing strategic leadership and oversight to the corporate food safety programs (Foreign material, pest control, EMP, GMP, PRP, FSP/HACCP etc.). You will work with different business unit to define and implement ADM food safety standards and ensure alignment and compliance.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Develop, establish and direct the corporate food safety programs
+ Monitor and ensure Food Safety compliance to all regulatory requirements and industry certifications.
+ Provide Food Safety subject matter expertise to support BU incidence management, investigation, and continuous improvement.
+ Establish and lead the corporate food safety recall policy and mock recall program. Support business unit directors on investigations, and reporting of quality issues, market withdrawals and recalls.
+ Oversee food safety related metrics and support continuous improvement activities to improve performance year over year.
+ Collaborate with corporate QMS and training partners to provide training on FS programs
+ Lead and champion food safety related research (Process validation, sanitation, microbiological and toxicological hot topics etc.) by collaborating with R&D and external partners. Benchmarking with industrial peers.
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree (prefer PhD) in Food Science, Microbiology or related field.
+ 10+ years of industry experience in human/animal Food or supplement Manufacturing.
+ 10+ years Food Safety Experience, Micro and Sanitation experience is strongly preferred.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills a requirement. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials as needed.
+ In depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements within the food safety arena.
+ Ability to work cross functionally and lead/influence others, including third parties without direct reporting structure in place.
+ **Strong external connection with academy and government agency is preferred**
+ Travel as needed to assigned regions. (around 30% Global travel)
This role does not offer remote work. It can be based in the US—Decatur, IL, or Erlanger, KY—or in Europe—Hamburg, Germany, or Heidenberg, Germany.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$120,800.00 - $222,100.00
**Salaried Incentive Plan:**
The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
