Director Finance - Shared Services

Your Impact

The Shared Services Finance Director oversees planning, analysis and business support for the Legal, HR and Finance functions. This role translates strategic and business planning assumptions into financial outcomes, delivers financial insights and performance measures, and enables data-driven decision making. Responsibilities include leading financial planning and forecast processes, managing reporting analysis, identifying risks and efficiencies and leading a team of finance professionals.

What you will do

Strategic Finance Leadership

Serve as the primary finance partner to senior leaders across Legal, HR and Finance, delivering strategic guidance, forecasts and actionable insights

Lead planning, forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial best practices

Provide timely, accurate performance reporting, variance analysis, KPIs and scorecards to guide business decisions

Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and risk mitigation strategies in partnership with functional leaders

Business Partnership and Influence

Collaborate with functional leaders to support strategic initiatives

Challenge business cases and facilitate trade-off decisions to support shareholder value and strategic priorities

Ensure consistency and quality in financial deliverables across Shared Services

Team & Capability Development

Lead and develop a high-performing finance team through effective hiring, coaching and career development

Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and drives results through influence

Continuously improve planning processes and financial operations to increase accuracy, agility and impact

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

10+ years of progressive finance or analytical experience

5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading cross-functional teams

Strong analytical, communication and business partnering skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree (MBA or related)

Experience in financial analysis, modeling, accounting and strategic planning

Experience supporting Legal, HR and Finance functions

Proficiency in TM1 or other planning tools

Background in large retail or Fortune 500 company environments
