The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the alignment of sustainability and financial reporting processes, ensuring reporting structure, compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the company’s commitment to sustainable business practices. This position requires both technical reporting expertise and a solid understanding of regulatory ESG reporting i.e. the EU CSRD, the EU taxonomy and Swiss local regulations for listed companies. **Please note that the recruitment process for this position is scheduled to begin in September.** **Key Responsibilities:** **1. ESG Reporting and Compliance:** + Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of ESG data to ensure compliance with CSRD (including the EU taxonomy) and other relevant ESG reporting regulations. + Collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, sustainability, human resources, risk, legal) to collect, verify, and report ESG-related information (qualitative as well as quantitative). + Monitor changes in relevant ESG (reporting) regulations, especially CSRD, and update management and adjust internal reporting processes accordingly. + Develop and implement (last mile) ESG consolidation procedures, including policies and control mechanisms to enhance efficiency and compliance. + Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and transparency of ESG metrics, providing the basis for board-level and investor reporting. + Maintain a strong understanding of sustainability performance indicators, global reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB), and the company’s sustainability strategy. **2. Preparing ESG information for management and external reporting:** + Analyze the financial implications of sustainability performance together with FP&A ensuring that ESG-related risks and opportunities are reflected in the financial statements. + Prepare quantitative and qualitative ESG-related disclosures for the external reporting. **3. Stakeholder Communication:** + Coordinate with internal stakeholders (sustainability, human resources, operational excellence, finance, procurement, operations) and external stakeholders (auditors, regulatory bodies, and investors) our communication of our formal compliance ESG performance. **4. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus. + In-depth knowledge of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD/ESRS) and other international ESG reporting standards. + 10-15 years of experience and at least 3 years of experience in public financial reporting and in external reporting with a specific focus on ESG-related disclosures. + Strong understanding of reporting principles and policies, audit standards, and annual report preparation. + Experience with ESG (last mile) reporting software/tools and sustainability performance management systems. + Professional experience working in a multinational environment. + Knowledge of additional sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, SASB, GRI). + Excellent English language skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. 1. **Critical competencies** + Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. + Proactive and adaptable in a fast-evolving regulatory environment. + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think in solutions. + Team-oriented with a strong ability to collaborate across functions. + Embodies and practices strong ethical standards. + Analytical and critical thinking skills are required to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources. + Able to manage various stakeholders and resilient under high demanding circumstances, able to deliver on time. + Driving change: build a culture of changes by transforming and aligning an organization through its people to move in new directions (change management). + Influencing collaboratively: work effectively with peers, partners and others who are not in the line of command. **The application process:** Interested in this position?
