The Opportunity
Directs, controls and coordinates the activities of a range of diverse administrative or staff functions, including cafeteria operations, housekeeping, grounds, mail and shuttle services across Abbott HQ building located near Lake County, IL. Leader will partner and maintain relationships with key external service providers across all areas of responsibility and deliver exceptional value and service to the employees located across identified Abbott facilities. This is inclusive of maintaining and setting budget, tracking performance across all areas, setting short-term and long-term goals and making recommendations to leadership to enhance services that impact the onsite employee experience around Abbott HQ. Negotiation for all services and maintenance and accountability of vendors across the employee services space as well as interactions and gathering feedback from key Abbott leaders to continuously evolve services.
 

Main Responsibilities
•    Negotiate and manage contracts with key service providers across Cafeteria, Shuttle, Mail, Housekeeping and Grounds
•    Develops long-term strategic planning to achieve the company's long-term objectives. Managing contracts with Cafeteria Employees, Housekeeping Employees, Mail, Shuttle and Grounds in order to maximize contract to labor workforce
•    Integrates and coordinates a corporate staff function with contractors
•    Requires a thorough working knowledge of company policies and practices
•    Laisse with leadership across multiple areas in response to facility and the physical appearance 
•    Responsible for all quality and compliance associated with Housekeeping and pest control in all levels of manufacturing and research, up to and including Class 100 Manufacturing Facilities
•    Responsible for all landscaping, pavement maintenance and snow removal of the Abbott Park headquarters site and K-Complex
•    Overall responsibility for the planning, estimating and scheduling of all work activities for work groups
•    Responsible for responding 24/7 to all site related incidents including floods and other weather related issues, utility line failures and other buildings and grounds cleanup needs
•    Responsible for leading and setting the direction of the 6 cafeterias across multiple locations
 

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Minimum 12 years relevant work experience in hospitality, outsourced services or related field
•    Minimum 8 years leadership experience in facility management, hospitality or a related field

The base pay for this position is $147,300.00 – $294,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
