Director Career Readiness Academy
*Description* *Summary:* The Director of the Nuvance Health Career Readiness Academy is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects strategic, operational, and programmatic of the Career Readiness Academy across the Nuvance Health system. This individual plays a critical role in advancing workforce development goals, addressing healthcare workforce shortages, and promoting career mobility for community members and internal employees. Reporting to the AVP of Talent Strategy, the Director will lead a cross functional team that delivers career pathways, readiness training, academic partnerships, and support services. The Director will ensure consistency in execution across sites, drive innovation in workforce readiness programs, and cultivate external and internal partnerships to support program scalability and impact. *Responsibilities:* * Sets and drives the strategic direction of the Career Readiness Academy in alignment with system-wide workforce priorities. * Leads system-wide program planning, implementation, and evaluation of Academy initiatives, ensuring alignment with health system goals and community needs. * Manages operational execution of Academy programs across all Nuvance Health sites. * Supervises and maintains a high-performing team of Career Academy Managers, Program Coordinators, and Career Coaches, peer navigators and educators. * Fosters collaboration and shared best practices among site-based teams to ensure consistent delivery and quality across the system. * Partners with internal departments (e.g., Nursing, HR, hospital operations, Community Health) to integrate Academy offerings with organizational initiatives. * Builds and sustains partnerships with academic institutions, community-based organizations, and workforce development agencies. * Collaborates with education and curriculum partners to ensure training programs are industry-aligned and competency-based. * Identifies and pursues grant and funding opportunities to support and expand Academy programming. * Develops and monitors KPIs to track participant outcomes, program ROI, and long-term impact. * Implements data-informed strategies to improve enrollment, retention, and placement rates. * Ensures compliance with relevant educational and healthcare regulations and standards. * Models and Maintains the Organization's values. * Performs other duties as required. *Education:* * Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education, public administration, workforce development, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. *Experience:* * Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in workforce development, academic program management, healthcare education, or similar field. * Demonstrated success in developing and scaling career readiness programs or academies. * Experience working within complex, matrixed environments and managing cross-functional teams. *Skills & Competencies:* * Strong strategic thinking, program development, and operational execution skills. * Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. * Outstanding communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills. * Data-driven with experience in performance measurement and reporting. * Deep understanding of workforce development, career pathways, and healthcare industry needs. *Working Conditions* * Hybrid work model with regular in-person presence across Nuvance Health sites. * Occasional evening or weekend hours for events, partner meetings, or program launches. *Why Nuvance Health?* Join a forward-thinking organization committed to shaping the future of healthcare through workforce development and community impact.
