**Job Summary**
We are seeking a Bridge Director to join TYLin’s Bridge Sector in Philippines.
The Bridge Director will report to the Bridge Sector Leader and partner with the Office Director to lead TYLin bridge sector initiatives in the Philippines, driving business development, client engagement, and project execution.
This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, securing projects, and ensuring sustainable growth while maintaining technical excellence, operational efficiency, and profitability. The successful candidate will foster key client relationships and uphold TYLin’s commitment to innovation and engineering excellence.
**Responsibilities & Qualifications**
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**Business Development & Client Engagement**
+ Work with Office Director to develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand TYLin’s bridge sector presence in the Philippines.
+ Work with Office Director to establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government agencies, and industry partners.
+ Identify, pursue, and secure high-value opportunities in bridge design and construction.
+ Represent TYLin at industry conferences, forums, and networking events to promote the firm’s expertise.
+ Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to ensure TYLin remains at the forefront of the industry.
**Project & Office Leadership**
+ Work with Office Director to serve as the operational leader for TYLin’s Bridge Philippine team, executing the company’s strategic direction.
+ Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while maintaining high technical standards.
+ Provide oversight on fee proposals, project costs, invoicing, and overall financial performance.
+ Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating with contractors, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
+ Resolve project issues and recommend alternative solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
**People & Organizational Management**
+ Mentor and develop high-performing teams to support business growth and project execution.
+ Work closely with Office Director, HT and other Shared Service functions to attract and retain top talent, ensuring resource alignment with workload demands.
+ Provide technical guidance, leadership, and motivation to engineering teams.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the office.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
+ Minimum of 20 years of experience in bridge design and construction, with expertise in cable-stayed and precast segmental bridges.
+ Proficiency in structural design of steel and concrete bridges.
+ Strong familiarity with DPWH regulations and Philippine engineering codes.
+ Working knowledge of industry standards such as AASHTO, ACI, AISC, ASBI, and PCI.
+ Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, coordinating with contractors, and overseeing project timelines and budgets.
+ Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client engagement.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
+ Willingness to travel as needed.
