DIRECTOR - ANNUAL AND LEADERSHIP GIVING

Summary

SUMMARY:   Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive annual giving program to build a pipeline of donors and a systemwide strategy for Carroll Hospital Foundation.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages a portfolio of donors with the potential to increase their contributions to Founders Circle level or above. Responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding these donors. Maintains an active schedule of visits and solicits donors capable of contributing gifts of $1,000 to $10,000. Manages Carroll Hospital Foundation’s Founders Circle program. Serves as primary staff person to ensure a high-quality program. Manages the communication to Founders Circle members. Ensures Founders Circle reporting to the Vice President of Development is accurate and timely. Continuously updates the prospect management database with information related to donor strategies, contacts and results. Develops, manages and implements annual giving fundraising strategies. Ensures list integrity and accuracy of content and materials. Develops relationships with local funeral homes to ensure proper giving information and links are available for tribute gifts. Writes solicitation and acknowledgment letters. Proposes annual giving strategies that introduce our donors to philanthropy options. Develops and coordinates department’s calendar and schedule to ensure coordination of donor outreach efforts. Analyzes program results in relation to annual goals, develops reports to demonstrate program trends and makes strategy recommendations based on analysis and best practice information. Develops standard reports to track key measures of success for annual programs. Uses report analysis to identify and recommend appropriate donor segments and targeted solicitations. Responsible for engaging and stewarding annual donors to encourage their continued and increased support of Carroll Hospital and BridgingLife. Manages stewardship thank you call program to selected annual fund donors. Promotes the case for annual philanthropy and provides periodic program updates. Works with gift-in-kind donors to determine if gift can be accepted, arranges delivery and acknowledgment of gifts. Manages Founders Circle and Annual Giving Program website content. Supports the development and execution of Carroll Hospital’s and BridgingLife’s Grateful Patient Program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

5-7 years of relevant experience in donor relations, stewardship and corporate development, preferably in a healthcare setting. Bachelor's degree preferred.
