Job Requirements

This position entails full-time on-site engagement as the Design for Test (DFT) Competency lead . The competency lead is responsible for developing competent DFT Teams to ensure customer projects are staffed adequately. As a competency head, you will be working with Delivery Leaders and TA teams to hire the right talent to meet project needs. You will be giving training and driving skill assessment process for DFT Engineers across delivery units. As a Competency lead, you will work closely with delivery leaders, understand their team skill gaps and devise strategies to address those gaps. You will also be responsible for ensuring cross-learnings across business units and building a strong database of case studies, success stories, and lessons learned from various project executions at Quest Global. You will be part of a team of passionate design engineers, delivering the next generation SoCs. 



Work Experience

The ideal candidate has experience leading a team of DFT engineers at different levels, hands-on experience with full chip and partition DFT activities, and has worked in roles with responsibility but without authority. 

Personal traits should include humility and a hunger to grow.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead teams of engineers to drive our own processes, methodologies, and intellectual properties to demonstrate the value we can add for both current and potential clients. 

• Establish a process to assess skill gaps and identify needed skills for each project. 

• Develop career plans for key project development leads and ensure they are achieved within the specified time. 

• Encourage teams to share knowledge with other business units within Quest Global and create platforms to demonstrate technical skills within and outside the company. 

• Actively participate in project reviews, when possible, to identify technical risks and propose risk mitigation plans to the delivery teams. 

• Assist delivery leaders in handling customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the set time limit, and following up to ensure resolution. 

• Document project learnings while respecting NDAs and pass them on to QG delivery leaders to minimize technical risks in project execution. 

• Adhere to communication procedures, guidelines, and policies. 

• Go the extra mile to engage delivery leaders, sales teams, and the TA team. Skills and Qualifications 

• Hands-on experience in DFT 

• Overseeing and managing complex design projects • Experience in overseeing and managing complex design projects 

• Good understanding of one or more topics in the DFT design domain like Scan, ATPG, MBIST, TAP, Simulators and analysis and improving fault and test coverage. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
