The Wealth & Asset Management Solutions (WAMS) team is part of the Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) enterprise. The WAMS team is responsible for the distribution and support of proprietary, and certain third-party asset management, products and services to consultants and advisors, across multiple distribution channels. The team also supports the marketing efforts of the solutions, working closely with Offer Management, Product and Marketing teams.

 

We are looking to add an experienced leader to WAMS to lead our Distribution Strategy efforts. The Head of Distribution Strategy will lead a multi-functional team spanning several critical business functions covering all products, offerings, and sales channels.

 

Responsibilities will include leading our overarching distribution approach, managing WAMS’ sales enablement across multiple distribution channels, and overseeing WAMS’ business management and strategy functions. This role will be transformative in positioning the broader team for growth, delivering efficiencies across the organization, and outlining a future state of how we best serve our clients and prospects to win and retain business. The position will report to the Head of Distribution Strategy, Relationship Management, and Service.

What you have

Required qualifications:

10+ years of experience in financial services focused on wealth and/or asset management.2+ years of Director (60PL) experience5+ years of people management experience, including the ability to effectively delegate, manage and supervise various levels of employees including both individual contributors and people leadersHold Series 24 or obtain in 120 days as COEExperience in driving strategic firm-wide prioritiesExperience leading strategic initiatives, building business cases, and managing stakeholdersDemonstratable knowledge of key client segments including Retail, Advisory, Retirement, intermediaries as well as Schwab’s wealth and asset management capabilitiesFamiliarity with Product Management, Offer Management, Technology, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Finance, Events, and Field Enablement functionsComfort with solving challenging, ambiguous multi-faceted problemsStrong organizational skills and affinity towards process improvementComfortable representing in cross enterprise initiatives on behalf of the WAMS team as an active participant, willing to collaborate, contribute, and challengeStrong presentation skills, written and verbal as well as qualitative and quantitativeUndergraduate degree required

Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge of wealth and/or asset management sales and distribution strongly preferredAdvanced degree or related designation (e.g., CFA, CFP, CIMA, etc.) preferred Experience with customer relationship management (Salesforce) and sales enablement tools (Tableau, Marketo, Customer Collaboration tools)
