ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on consulting capabilities, leading a small, agile team focused on diagnosing cost drivers, designing tailored solutions, and driving implementation across complex environments. The Director of Vendor Operational Efficiency will work cross-functionally with supply chain, brand, and regional teams to spearhead initiatives that improve factory overhead performance across VF’s global vendor base.

The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of analytical rigor, operational expertise, and stakeholder influence to deliver measurable cost improvements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong vendor partnerships.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Include but not limited to

Lead global overhead optimization strategy. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to reduce factory overhead costs across VF Corporation’s global vendor base, aligning with corporate goals and operational priorities.Diagnose cost opportunities and translate insights into actionable opportunities. Lead team accountable for identifying & quantifying drivers for additional cost drivers in vendor overheads paid by VF vs industry benchmarks.Identify & Isolate value pools in vendor overheads by utilizing detailed analysis of available data including CDW, vendor interviews and surveys, industry data and by reviewing VF business practices to build business case outlining potential changes in business practices required to unlock value, quantifying benefit for brands/regions in adopting change.Build and maintain a cost opportunity pipeline. Maintain a dynamic pipeline of cost-saving opportunities, categorized by impact, complexity, and readiness, to guide prioritization and resource allocation.Lead communications to Brand, Region and Supply Chain leadership teams, outline case for change & expected benefits from limited data sets available. Build cross functional support across VF from Brand/Region Presidents to functional heads & teams on the ground etc for outline initiatives. In partnership with relevant heads of function, define & establish of new processes across product development, planning, buying, vendor relationship management that align with industry best practice and unlock value for VFEstablish & lead Project Management Office for initiatives identified. Assemble & lead cross functional teams to influence business partners in changing processes & business practices to unlock value to VF & vendors and drive implementation against agreed timeframeCovers Global Vendor base and all VF brands/regions. Anticipated to drive $100M benefit over lifetime of project.Lead direct team of 2 but work effectively cross functionally across supply chain, all brands and all regions

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related fieldGenerally ten to twelve years of progressive experience with five years of managerial experienceIdeally Management Consulting or Finance background with proven project management skillsStrong organization, leadership and communication skills
