Director, Test & Quality Engineering
**Job Summary** The Director of Test & Quality Engineering will be responsible for leading the quality assurance and testing functions with our manufacturing partners and suppliers. This role ensures that all products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in quality management, manufacturing test engineering, and leadership to drive our quality initiatives forward. This role also includes managing customer RMAs (return management authorizations) and RCAs (root cause analyses) with an external partner company. **Job Responsibilities** · Develop and implement robust manufacturing quality assurance strategies, factory yield improvements, and ongoing improvements for customer RMAs & RCAs. · Lead and mentor the Test & Quality Engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and customer support, to ensure alignment on quality objectives. · Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality performance and drive improvements. · Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance factory quality and yields, product quality, and operational efficiency. · Prepare and present quality reports to executives and cross-functional teams. · Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements. · Manage the creation and maintenance of quality documentation, including test plans, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). · Investigate and resolve factory, supplier, and customer quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed. · Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in quality management and testing methodologies. · Represent the company in quality-related discussions with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. **Job Requirements** · Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). · Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance and test engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. · Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001 or similar. · Proven track record of leading successful quality improvement initiatives. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. · Proficiency in quality management software and tools. · Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) is a plus. · Minimum of two days per week required in the Wichita NetApp office. Occasional travel is required Compensation: The target salary range for this position is 177,650 - 265,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
