Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando. Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
Job Summary:
The Director, Strategic Program Management supports the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) with management system processes and special projects across the strategy and institute teams. The Strategy teams include physician relations, business development, strategic planning and transactions. The Institutes are made up of five specialty service lines - Cardiovascular, Cancer, Neuroscience, Orthopedics and Digestive and provide strategic and quality guidance for the Central Florida North and South Regions.
Management System: The Director of Strategic Program Management provides leadership for facilitation of strategic plan development, elements of strategic plan implementation and deployment of projects; operations and senior management communication across the regions; and serves as chief aide in detailed execution. Collaborates with the Institute CMO, dyad leaders and senior leadership on the integration of organizational performance excellence principles. Prepares materials and presentations for the Chief Strategy Officer to further the advancement of the organization to key stakeholders. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Special Projects: The Director of Strategic Program Management investigates, researches, reports and provides guidance on market strategies, deals and transaction and service line management strategies to inform and enhance cross functional initiatives. Leads process improvement and project management activities to ensure strategies align with and are optimized for current and future growth projections. Consistently communicates and reports project status to leadership team with detailed and accurate information. Identifies strategic issues, recommends organizational changes, and collaborates with other leaders to implement necessary changes. Serves as a liaison between executives and business partners and assists in the ranking and escalation of critical needs/issues.
You Will Be Responsible For:
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Supports development of strategic plans to support the Institute dyad leaders and the senior leadership team.
Facilitates strategic plan development, implementation, and deployment of projects for the Central Florida North and South Regions.
Plans and develops agenda for key Strategy and Institute meetings (e.g. Dyad Council, Retreats, etc.) by collaborating with members of Strategy and Institute downlines and regional leadership to synthesize and prioritize agenda items.
Contributes research and data analytics as the senior leadership team reviews and provides input on strategies and innovations leads projects under the direction of the CSO.
Tracks all commitments and project task work that are made during executive leadership meetings or project meetings and provides progress reports and updates to the CSO. OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Supports the CSO in completion of critical projects including budgets, talent reviews, presentations to the governance boards, and AdventHealth Corporate assignments.
STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing, reporting and providing solutions for short-term and long-term service line management strategies.
Collaborates with CSO and Chiefs of Staff to other Cabinet members to execute the annual planning process resulting in the creation of the annual Business Plan.
Serves as the project leader in preparation of major management meetings and major strategy/communications events.
Leads project teams that develop strategies and business plans for new or emerging initiatives under the leadership of the CSO executive sponsor.
PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
Works with multiple operational areas/teams as a performance improvement/excellence advisor as well as drives specific initiatives across the organization as needed.Qualifications
