Overview
This role will provide leadership for Sponsorship Business Support globally, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency, quality, and impact of Child Sponsorship. The position oversees Creative Services, Project Management, and Business Operations, ensuring alignment with the Partnership’s strategic priorities and the successful realisation of Our Promise II. Supports Sponsorship services and capabilities in support of global Sponsorship objectives. This position leads a global programme management team responsible for a portfolio of transformative projects and ensures timely, agile execution of strategic initiatives that revitalize Child Sponsorship and strengthen its value proposition for supporters and field operations.
The position also oversees Sponsorship Creative Services to ensure compelling, brand-aligned content. Contribute to innovation processes that enhance the Sponsorship experience and support fundraising efforts through a clear and compelling impact narrative.
This role provides leadership in strategic knowledge management to foster learning, trust, and organizational effectiveness. Supports the development and continuous improvement of global Sponsorship standards, guidance, and tools. This includes cultivating a high-performing, purpose-driven team culture and deepening engagement and collaboration across Child Sponsorship Operations, Global Field Operations, Regional, Support, and Field Offices.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Direct a global programme management team to support project leaders and business owners in planning, executing, and delivering strategic initiatives that drive innovation, simplify business processes, and demonstrate the impact of Child Sponsorship.Champion agile project management practices to ensure responsive, efficient execution of global sponsorship initiatives with clear outcomes and measures key results.Provide strategic advice to Sponsorship Business Services on embedding continuous improvement principles, tools, and methodologies across operations building a culture of continuous improvement.Streamline operations to enhance agility, efficiency, and responsiveness across the Sponsorship model.Strategic oversight of cross-functional projects led by multiple leaders to meet the evolving needs of global business owners.Foster a culture of agility and changeEnhance the effectiveness and impact of global Sponsorship operations through strong end-to-end execution and alignment.Project objectives, progress and outcomes are communicated to business partners to provide transparency into the portfolio.Creative Services
Oversee creative support to Child Sponsorship Operations and expand offerings across the partnership—including Support Offices, Field Offices, and the Global Centre.Develop the Creative Services team into a self-sustaining unit by broadening its client base and transitioning to a fully cost-recovered mode through client-based charging.Business solutions and creative services teams operate at optimal capacity, delivering high-quality outputs.Support GC senior managers and regional staff effectively with creative resources for capacity-building initiatives.Lead a customer service framework that nurtures a strong base of returning clients and strategically expands its reach by actively promoting creative services across the partnership.Communications and Knowledge Management
Oversee a responsive knowledge management (KM) strategy that optimizes people, platforms and processes to drive innovation, informed decision-making, and continuous learning.Foster a culture of knowledge-sharing through communities of practice (Sponsorship Learning Network or related), peer learning events, and staff contributions.Track and support key initiatives through effective planning, alignment, and communication.Collaborate with the Capacity & Change Team, Global Director, P&C, and Staff Care to design and implement organizational change plans and communications.Provide strategic input and creative excellence to foundational projects, ensuring consistency of vision and messaging.Lead the development of targeted communications that elevate the purpose and value of Child Sponsorship across diverse audiences.Design and implement a responsive KM strategy that optimizes platforms and processes to drive innovation, informed decision-making, and continuous learning.Enhance staff and stakeholder engagement around key insights and resources, and strengthened future direction of sponsorshipBe a trusted go-to hubs for connection, learning and best practices.Ensure child sponsorship priorities are advanced through high-level oversight, thought leadership, and timely, purpose-driven communications—fostering trust, alignment, and accountability.Lead the execution of agile communication and knowledge management strategies which enhance staff and stakeholder engagement and strengthening the future direction of Child Sponsorship.Design a cohesive communications strategy that brings together the communications needs of a diverse set of teams to fully leverage each communication touchpoint with an emphasis on simplicity and clarity.Accountability & Standards

Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business operations, international development, social work, economics or related fieldProject Management degree or certificationContinuous Improvement certifications in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma or similarMinimum 5+ years in a global strategic leadership and management roles, including leading a combination of programme/project management functions working with multiple projects in international organisations.Proven delivery of a portfolio of complex projects that have a cross-functional team that are dispersed internationally, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.Ability to design, coach, guide and deliver principles, tools and in accordance to lean six sigma, operational excellence, kaizen, PM book of knowledge (e.g. DMAIC methodology, PDCA, Voice of the Customer, SIPOC, Swim lanes, cause and effect diagram, 5Whys, 5Ss, Change Management, etc.)Broad knowledge of international development and sponsorship with demonstrated expertise in programming preferably within World Vision Demonstrated expertise in leadership to programme quality in global organisations with complex organisational relationshipsDemonstrated ability to perform strategic business planning and manage enterprise-wide projectsSees the “big picture” in complex situations by linking information or applying theoretical frameworks, by taking a systems view, or by considering an abstract, broader, or longer-term perspectiveStrong interpersonal skills, ability to work across cultures, demonstrated experience influencing non-reporting relationships and authority.Strength in building effective work relationships with both local and dispersed colleagues, and to manage and lead horizontally across the organisationAbility to effectively communicate with many different functions, cultures and levels in the organisation.A broad understanding of non-profit operations and commitment to World Vision´s objectives, ethos, core ministries, Mission Statement and Core Values is mandatory.Fluent and effective in written and verbal communication in English.Preferred Experience, Knowledge and/or other Qualifications

Local and International travel up to 15%For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $102,000 to $136,000 USD. Ranges are based on various factors, including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
