The primary purpose of this position is to drive new business growth and market expansion through excellence in sales development and leadership. This leadership role offers a unique entrepreneurial experience for a candidate who understands the sales cycle of Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy Services. This role requires consultative, proactive sales strategies directed at decision makers and decision influencers for existing and new client contacts. Initially focused on direct sales and expansion opportunities, this role will evolve into a position responsible for hiring and managing a high-performing sales team and implementing a scalable sales strategy to exceed growth targets. The Director of Specialty Pharmacy Sales and Service is responsible for the success of sales and service initiatives across the enterprise. This leader will oversee pharmacy client services, sales operations, go-to-market strategies, market solutions development, and client/broker/consultant engagement to support organizational priorities. This position is accountable for evaluating the pharmacy market for new opportunities and developing innovative pharmacy-related service offerings that support providers, payors, and industry partners. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by supporting medical specialists such as oncologists, rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, immunologists, and general physicians who refer patients out for specialty pharmacy services. The Director of Sales and Service will develop and manage a core team committed to building strong client relationships, optimizing sales cycle workflows for efficiency and performance, and identifying cross-sell opportunities to drive client satisfaction and revenue growth. This leader will establish strong working relationships with core business partners and management teams in other key areas of the organization to ensure seamless delivery of products and services. They will participate in strategic and tactical planning to ensure relevance of business plans and deploy modifications as necessary to align with current and anticipated market dynamics. Job type: Full-time, Hybrid. This position requires travel. Pay Range: $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually, depending on experience. This position is eligible for annual performance-based incentive **Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range. Required: i. Bachelor s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, sales management, or a related field; master s degree preferred. ii. 10+ years experience in pharmacy or healthcare industry with demonstrated success in sales, business development, and leading expansion and growth initiatives. iii. Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales development, business development, or outbound sales leadership, with a proven track record of driving new business growth and market expansion. iv. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience v. Expertise in leading high-performing sales development teams, implementing best-in-class prospecting methodologies, and utilizing customer relationship management platforms and technology powered sales tools to enhance lead generation and cultivate partnerships. b. Preferred: i. Preferred certifications include Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP), Strategic Sales Management Certification (SSMC), and Business Development Executive Certification (BDEC) to demonstrate advanced expertise in sales development and leadership. ii. Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical and specialty pharmacy industries with experience in pharmaceutical sales, healthcare technology, or life sciences business development. iii. Strong understanding of healthcare systems, hospital procurement, and medical sales cycles iv. Demonstrated experience leveraging technology in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making. Physical and mental functions and activities a. Must be able to work independently to identify opportunities in pursuit of specific organizational objectives. b. Must be able to represent an executive presence and influence manufacturer, wholesaler, provider partners, C-level, and client stakeholders. c. Must have strong analytical skills and be able to set strategic vision, as well as lead, develop, and motivate staff. d. Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. e. Must be able to express oneself, detect, perceive, observe, and assess information exchanged in a variety of communication methods. f. Must be able to work well under pressure, work with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. g. Must be able to manage schedule and report to work daily. h. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image. i. Demonstrates a commitment to quality and the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve. Work is performed primarily at a desk with extensive keyboard work in stationary position. b. Workflow may fluctuate and work outside of a standard workweek may be required. Contact with others: a. Internally with Ardon and Emerging employees across multiple departments. b. Externally with various customers, vendors, suppliers, contractors, auditors, consultants, and business partners. Essential functions and activities : Serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to executive leadership in the growth and development of new provider partnerships, manufacturer partnerships and healthcare initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop a sales team by setting the standard for outbound prospecting, pipeline acceleration, and high-value lead conversion. Implement elite coaching programs, performance tracking systems, and execution frameworks to drive peak performance while fostering a culture of collaboration. Establish strong working relationships and acts as a liaison with core business partners and leadership in key areas of the organization to assure seamless delivery of quality products and services. Act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, with the highest ethical standards Ardon consistently strives to achieve. Participate in and Chairs multidisciplinary committee meetings as assigned. Meet with specialists and practitioners in the field and participate in industry forums, advisory boards, and panels to advance networking and industry dialogue specific to specialty pharmacy. Participate in strategic and tactical planning to ensure relevance of business plan and employ modifications as necessary to align with the current and anticipated dynamics of the market. Contribute as an Ardon/ Emerging and industry Subject Matter Expert to the evaluation and development of new tools, services models and solutions that drive new business capabilities and healthcare services. Applie deep institutional knowledge of Ardon/Emerging to represent the organization s mission and values in all efforts and interactions, both internal and external. Maintain and document an effective call cycle for follow-ups, detailing, and competent account management. Drive transformation by evolving outbound sales methodologies, embedding a data-driven mindset, and building scalable, repeatable systems that accelerate industry leadership and long-term competitive advantages. Actively participates and provides support as needed to fellow leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company s quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts.
