GLOBAL PRODUCT SUPPLY - SINGAPORE

As the Director of Global Product Supply for Dickies you will lead the sourcing strategy, vendor relationships and sourcing development operations throughout Asia. You will play a crucial role in aligning sourcing strategies with the brands’ global objectives and market needs, maintaining strong relationships with key vendors and driving continuous improvements with all cross functional partners, in Product Supply, Supply Chain and shared services.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

Develop and drive the sourcing strategies for Dickies that align with the brand’s product and marketing strategies globally.Recommend the short, medium and long term goals for Dickies’ sourcing business objectives, driving alignment with the anchor brand strategic business direction.Maximise all opportunities to drive duty trade agreements for the global business and leverage with One VF vendors. Develop team capabilities and organizational structures, to support career development for VF associates and enable optimized processes and system management, in Asia, whilst influencing and collaborating with the Product Supply Sourcing hubs across the globe, to construct Global allocation strategies that unlock values for Dickies

How you will do it:

Create and publish the rolling three year sourcing strategy for Dickies, demonstrating progress, season after season.Establish a holistic allocation approach and vendor portfolio that considers vendor capabilities and capacities, duty optimization, materials availabilities, risk mitigation, and vendor performance.  Articulate the strategy to brand partners to align on direction.Partner with Dickies Leadership team, GTM team and Planning teams to create 3-year allocation plan and to execute pre-season and in-season allocationPartner with Strategic planning team in Global Product Supply to streamline forecast handover processes, and to ensure vendor capacity is being built where requiredLead the strategic resolution for our business practices enabling change and improved performance. Create innovation in our business processes such as sourcing development calendars, vendor led initiatives, speed to market solutions and brand product development tripsLink the fabric and trims organization (GMS) and costing teams to lead improved integration between fabric/ trims and garment sourcingProvide expertise on strategic sourcing for the brand needs and be masterful at communicating this to the global brandIdentify gaps and opportunities in the source base and engage quality and technical design teams to build vendor capabilitiesLead strategic initiatives (VPM (Vendor Performance Management) inputs and result sharing) for our business practices enabling change and improved performanceDrive innovation in our business processes such as development calendars, vendor led initiatives, speed to market solutionsDrive resolution for all sourced product related process issues, such as testing, GB testing for China initiatives, collaborating with the Product Stewardship and Brand quality teams, related to product standards and requirementsCreate and drive seasonal review meetings with the Dickies leadership teams to look at past performance to inform future improvements for both product and vendor management.Strive to overcome challenges in optimizing KPI management, having the passion to do more than ‘just bringing in the numbers’Drive the long- term opportunities for standardization of working practices across the apparel division to support the One VF strategy. For example, functional tasks and strategic sourcing activities.Provide leadership and coaching/mentoring to associates, setting goals and providing regular feedback and guidance to increase both individual and team productivity;

Challenging the status quo (asking the 5 whys)Creating innovative working practices and connections with our associates, such as driving new learning experiencesIdentifying and dissolving barriers to improve our business model demonstrating learning agility and creativityEngage team members to strive to be their best within VF, including the virtual teamsOwn the budget management ofRegional office headcount allocated to DickiesLink budget management to sourcing strategy and future potential moves of headcount to regional offices

A sourcing strategy in place with Dickies that creates value for the brand in – unlocking margin, product creativity and value for the consumersCreative solutions in place for supporting and executing the GTM calendar – ensuring that Product Supply have continuous improvement in leadtime baselining and harmonization across the sourcing hubsA fast track calendar model that enhances in season and replenishment opportunities for DickiesA motivated and energized team – with clear succession planning across all job levels

Skills for Success

Years of related professional experience: 10 years, with 5 years in managerial roles

Educational position requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

Strong process management and problem-solving skill.An effective communicator in managing multi-cultural teams and ability to influence stakeholders on a global level to advance business goals. Good business acumen and understanding of the competitive global business environment, as well as an awareness of economic, social and political trends that impact the organization’s global strategy. You will be coaching and developing your team, providing timely constructive feedback enabling them to excel and realize their potential  Drive and passion to make a difference, presenting a growth mindset that role models positivity and curiosity to your team and peersExecutive presence – you will be capable of capturing your audience’s attention, being composed and well preparedAbility to lead, facilitate and champion change. Knowledge of apparel development and managing a diverse product collection is a plus
