This leadership role is responsible for managing technology strategy, software development, day to day operations and support for a
portfolio of diverse software applications. This role will oversee multiple teams of software developers focused on developing and supporting
web applications, modern software applications and document management platforms. In collaboration with business, enterprise architects
and product management team, this role will provide solutions that balance the unique needs of both the business and technology, define
and design software architectures, manage areas of complexity and potential risks to successful implementation and delivery. This role must
possess a skilled relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration with proven leadership and teamwork abilities and ability to manage
priorities and drive results across all stakeholders. Information Technology (IT) has undertaken a multi-year effort to harmonize IT systems
across Beth Israel Lahey Health. IT staff members may have the opportunity to participate in special projects that span Beth Israel Lahey
**Job Description:**
**Primary Responsibilities:**
1. Provides leadership, management, technical tone and vision for the team in terms of quality, craftsmanship, security and performance
2. Provides insight and guidance, and resolves cross-functional issues that are escalated throughout the application development, testing, implementation, and support lifecycle
3. Drives relationships with business partners and serves as a trusted partner for software solutions.
4. Prioritizes projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of commitments.
5. Ensures technical excellence across the entire organization, including architecture, technical debt management, tooling, reliability, and overall quality. Stays on top of technology trends, encourages the team to explore and prototype emerging technologies and develop innovative solutions.
6. Drives continuous process improvement and innovation by identifying inefficiencies in current processes, improving agility of the team and adopting industry trends for innovation. Creates and sustain an environment of ingenuity and creativity and challenges the status quo to encourage innovation.
7. Manage and coach the engineering managers and technical leads shepherding a growing engineering team. **Required Qualifications:**
1. 8+ years of experience
2. Bachelor's degree in related field.
