The Director, Service Center Operations will oversee and optimize all aspects of the company's Zones or Service Center warehouse operations, logistics and Safety, Security and Compliance. This role must ensure the efficient functioning of the warehouse operations, which supports the company's broader strategy with a continuous improvement mindset.
In this role you will:
Develop and implement plans to optimize Zones or Service Center warehouse operations and leverage best practices across the Company.Improve efficiency and reduce costs while meeting the company’s objectives and customer demands.Generate regular reports and data analysis to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess warehouse operations' financial and organizational effectiveness. Use data insights gained to make informed decisions, assess strategy, and drive continuous improvement.Partner with Human Resources to cultivate a positive and engaging work environment by supporting employee development initiatives, and implementing strategies that enhance retention, succession planning, and workforce optimization.Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.Develop and implement training and development for distribution team members consistently across the network.Evaluate and enhance warehouse processes by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing operational changes that streamline workflows, boost productivity, and elevate overall performance.Oversee inventory control procedures, including receiving, storage, and distribution processes while complying with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Utilize inventory optimization tools and systems to enhance visibility and control over inventory across the supply chain network.Optimize transportation and distribution networks to improve delivery efficiency and reduce lead times.Develop and implement a strategy for distribution automation, including current best practices and sourcing additional automation opportunities.What you bring to the table:
Four-year degree in Business or related degreeMinimum of 10 years experience in progressively responsible operations leadership rolesExperience in high volume warehousing operationsProficiency in continuous improvement, inventory control and distribution management processesTrack record for implementing strategic growth plans while ensuring safe operational methodsCommunication, meeting facilitation and public speaking skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in taking initiative and making appropriate decisionsFull cycle project management skillsConflict resolution, problem solving, and critical thinking skillsFinancial modeling skillsOrganizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work and influence all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage varying priorities.Ability to organize unstructured information into clear and persuasive communicationsAbility to think creativelyCompensation Details: The expected rate of pay for this position is starting at $122,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is also incentive-eligible, based on specific and relative business metrics.
