**Job Description**
**The Position**
The Scientific Publications Director will support all aspects of global biomedical publications development, with minimal supervision.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead the end-to-end publications development align to therapeutic area strategy across the portfolio and pipeline.
+ Execute the development of value and impact driven publications, abstracts, posters, primary and secondary manuscripts, review articles.
+ Contribute to strategic publication.
+ Planning activities and tactics via active participation in relevant subcommittees.
+ Vendor oversight and KPI assessments.
+ Understands the current publication landscape and applies this expertise to develop strategic, value driven publications for small molecule, biologic and device assets from pipeline to market.
+ Establishes credibility as a subject matter expert for both internal and external stakeholders in development of high-quality publications and compliance with international committee of medical journal editors (ICMJE) recommendations.
+ Good Publication Practice (GPP) standards, journal slash Congress guidelines, and organ on SOP's and policies.
+ Ability to prioritize to deliver on multiple ongoing projects with the appropriate sense of urgency and sound judgment for issue resolution slash escalation.
**Required Education, Experience and Skills**
+ A healthy life science, or medical science degree or related discipline and be fluent in English, written and spoken. Masters doctorate pharm D or MD. Professional certification, preferred. International Society for medical application professionals certified medical publication professional credential. American Medical writers' association, medical writer certified credential.
+ Six to ten plus years of relevant biopharmaceutical experience, preferably developing publications and or strategic plans across the product lifestyle.
+ Eight years relevant biopharmaceutical experience and experience in Women's Health.
+ Pipeline to market access, small molecules biologics slash devices.
+ Proficient and interpreting guidelines influencing strategy and managing author and vendor interactions.
+ Competency in writing, editing, reviewing and managing complex publications for various audiences across the product life cycle.
+ Experience advising teams on journal selection and Congress identification and when to leverage enhanced digital content and publication extenders. Understands different study designs and evidence generation platforms. Also understands observational research, real world evidence, claims databases, health economics and outcomes research period soft skills to manage internal slash external author slash stakeholder interactions independently.
+ Experience writing in multiple therapeutic areas and aptitude to quickly learn new therapeutic areas.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word and publication management software.
+ Developing publications and strategic plans across the product life cycle and pipeline to market access.
